"Incident at Ape Canyon" CD Out Now!

"Incident at Ape Canyon" CD is out now and available for purchase - a solid 80 minutes of unreleased and exclusive material from Violent Headache (Spain), Captain Three Leg (USA), Wadge (Canada), Iron Butter (USA), Rupture (Australia), Fossil Fuel (USA), Pantalones Abajo Marinero (Japan), Whoretorn (France) + Dysmorfic (Italy). The feedback coming in so far has been overwhelmingly positive. Don't just take my word for it, though. Check out the promo video posted below and make up your own mind. You can also listen to all of Captain Three Leg's tracks from this release HERE.

The Imminent Release of "Incident at Ape Canyon" CD

The CDs arrived from the plant this past weekend and they both look and sound great! It's nice to see this thing come to fruition after more than a year of hard work and endless delays. It's well worth the wait, I think. I'm thrilled to share a CD with 8 of my favorite bands and to have had the chance to work with some of the coolest / nicest people ever.

I'm sending the finished CDs to the labels who paid for it this week, so it's just a matter of time before it's available for purchase. Until then, here's a short promo video I made to get the juices flowing.

"Incident at Ape Canyon" CD co-release?

I'm looking for one or more labels to co-release an 80 minute grindfest of a CD called "Incident at Ape Canyon", roughly 13 minutes from each band with unreleased material from: Violent Headache (Spain), Wadge (Canada), Pantalones Abajo Marinero (Japan), Whoretorn (France), Captain Three Leg (USA), Iron Butter (USA) + Dysmorfic (Italy). Probably only making 200-300 of them, so it's a minimal investment. Here's the cover art to get the saliva flowing in the meantime...

MORT:051 DECHE-CHARGE / BIG FIST JOHNNY - split CDR

(Canada's DECHE-CHARGE have been around so long that they shouldn't need any introduction. This split CDR offers up the same head-splitting "woo-woo-wooo!", abrasive noisecore they've been offering up for years. BFJ = members of JUHYO and CAPTAIN THREE LEG doing 104 short blasts of noisecore in just over 17 minutes. Comes with a nice full color cover, inside and out, and is limited to 200 copies.)

MORT:049 SPEW-GINA - "Spewgin to the Oldies" CDR

(Partial discography of ghetto-ass noise shit from the bad side of Denver. These motherfuckers were slingin' dope, slappin' hoes and creating some of the nastiest noisecore before they split-up in late 90's. Line-up for this material was Skitzo-3 (Gaunjareah), Kevin Trujillo (Dratsab, Duece, Ear Bleeding Disorder, Fuck This) and the late Josh "ACE" Stough (Gaunjareah, Festering Puke, Dismembered Fetus, and The Porch Monkeys). 99 tracks in 80 minutes. This split release with Menace to Sobriety will be limited to 200 copies.)

MORT:048 VIOLENT HEADACHE - "The Noisecore Days:1989-1991" 2xCDR

(2 CDs, 100 minutes, 300 songs including the following demos..."Sad But True" Demo 1988, "A Hell on Your Head" Demo 1989, split w/ SLASH DEMENTIA Demo 1990 plus the unreleased "The Fight Continues" Demo 1990 + "Pyogenic Infection of Membrillo" Demo 1991. This 2 x CDR set collects everything recorded before the "Therapy of Noise" Demo (their first demo to represent the familiar sound we all know and love today). This set is 100% completely over the top ear-shredding noisecore. Professionally duplicated CDRs with full color covers packaged in a dual CD jewel case, limited to 200 copies and already selling quickly.)
